Ionic Liquids represent a new technology with potential for use as solvent replacements. Their low vapor pressure makes them potential substitutes for highly volatile organic solvents, thus reducing the amount of pollution caused through solvent evaporation. Their non-flammable nature reduces the risk of fire hazard.

ColaSolv IES and ColaSolv OES are ionic liquids offering unique solvent capabilities and useful as replacements for some polar solvents. Both ColaSolv IES and ColaSolv OES are compatible with anionic surfactants and can aid in foam stabilization.

ColaSolv IES and ColaSolv OES are 100% active, liquid quaternary compound in addition to their solvent capability offer excellent antistatic, lubricating, fiber softening and corrosion inhibiting properties in aqueous and non-aqueous systems.
