Based upon natural avocado oil, ColaMid AVCO combines the benefits of this natural oil with the functional properties of an alkanolamide surfactant. Avocado oil has been found to be an advantageous ingredient in cosmetic preparations that are designed to prevent dry skin or scalp conditions.

Cosmetic use of avocado oil has increased in part because of its rapid skin penetrating properties. Its fast penetration helps alleviate that oily after feel that is often found when other vegetable oils are used. Due to the difficulty of emulsifying avocado oil, however, its use in aqueous systems has been limited. ColaMid AVCO is completely self-emulsifying and allows the incorporation of an efficacious level of avocado oil. Some typical examples are listed on the following pages.
